Special Activities

Pottery Class

Most Mondays, up to five children go to the Pottery Lab at Selkirk College where Nell teaches them to work with clay.

Gym Night

One night a week, the City of Trail lets us use the Cominco Gym for our play activities.  We have two to three adults who run this, and the kids get to burn off a lot of energy while having a great time.

Harding Heights Ranch

One day a week, three kids go to the Harding Heights Ranch in Oasis. They get to visit their favorite animals, and help take care of them. Sometimes they get to ride a horse too!

Sanctuary also has a local nutritionist that comes in once a month or so to teach the children how to cook healthy meals. The children really enjoy the chances they get to make a meal.
