About Us
The Generation to Generation Society operates the after-school pre-teen centre known as "Sanctuary" and the hospital visit accommodations “Sanctuary House”. The society is made up of representatives from our community who have come together to provide a safe space for all children aged 8 – 12 as well as unique rental suites for visitors to our community who require medical care.
Our Pre-teen Centre Coordinator is responsible for developing and overseeing programing as well as training and managing the staff and volunteers. Working closely with the volunteers to utilize their gifts, the Coordinator provides direction for all of the activities at Sanctuary. We strive to make Sanctuary a wholesome and safe environment where we can be positive mentors for the children, and each other, in a non-judgmental community.
Our Sanctuary House manager, Barb Greenwood, manages the Sanctuary House accommodations. She schedules all bookings for the suites as well as overseeing the cleaning and sanitization of the apartments between guests.
There are approximately 70 members of our society right now. New members are always welcome and we encourage anyone who is interested to attend our monthly meetings. For information on about our monthly meetings you can contact our Board Chair, Brenda Hooper, through our Sanctuary Preteen Centre office.
