Sanctuary Pre-Teen Centre
We are a licensed after-school program for children aged 8 to 12 (grades 2 - 7). All children who need a safe and fun place to go during non-school hours on weekdays are welcome. Sanctuary is community-supported. It is 100% free for children and their families. We are open weekdays from 2:30 p.m. until
7:30 p.m. Open since 1998, we have usually had 50 children registered with 15 to 25 coming each day.
Our goal is to help children learn positive ways to interact with each other, the staff and the volunteers. We provide consistent non-judgmental boundaries that focus on respect for self, others, and place. We allow children to be creative in their play and interactions by providing a large variety of possible activities. Our practice is to encourage and enable children to participate in community life to their full potential. We strive to make Sanctuary Pre-Teen Centre a wholesome, fun, and safe environment.
The reduction in daily attendance maximums is new so pre-reservation for specific days is required. If a specific day is full, your request will add your child to a waiting list.
Please click on the button above to "Register Your Child" to download a form to fill out and send to sanctuarytrail@shaw.ca for formal registration. Please note, in order for your child to attend Sanctuary they must be formally registered.

How to register your child
Step 1: Register your child for Sanctuary through the above green button that says " Register your child".
Step 2: Please return this form to Sanctuary at 1705 Bay Avenue any time between 9:00am-2:00pm.
If you are unable to print these forms off you can drop in any time to pick the forms up.
